Cruz Gonzalez-Cadel is an award-winning theatre, film, and television actor originally from Argentina. She has recurred on FX’s Fargo, guest-starred on NBC’s Chicago Med, and co-starred on Showtime’s The Chi and Fox’s Empire. Principal film credits include Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Heist 88, and Rounding. She can also be seen starring in the film Single Car Crashes, available to rent or buy on VOD. Her regional and Chicago theatre credits include Marriott, South Coast Repertory, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Court, Lookingglass, Steep, and Teatro Vista Productions, where she is an Artistic Collective member and Managing Director. In 2018 she won a Jeff Award for “Performance in a Principal Role – Play” for her portrayal of Lela in Lela & Co at Steep Theatre. For a third consecutive year, she is featured as one of NewCity’s “Players 2025: The Fifty People Who Really Perform for Chicago” and was named one of the “Theatre Workers You Should Know” by American Theatre Magazine. She is a graduate of the Universidad del Salvador.
